Pakistan’s ambassador bids farewell to UAE minister of economy and tourism
Bilateral cooperation highlighted across economic and tourism sectors
ABU DHABI – Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates Faisal Niaz Tirmizi on Monday paid a farewell call on Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism.
During the meeting, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to strengthen its fraternal partnership with the UAE, underlining the shared values and trust that continue to guide bilateral ties.
The discussions highlighted the vast potential to expand cooperation across multiple economic fields. Al Marri commended Ambassador Tirmizi’s role in advancing Pakistan-UAE relations and extended his best wishes for his next diplomatic assignment.
Ambassador Tirmizi, in turn, expressed gratitude to the UAE government and people for their consistent support and generous hospitality during his tenure.
Shared commitment
Both sides stressed that relations between Pakistan and the UAE, rooted in history and mutual respect, would continue to flourish.
The ambassador noted the importance of building on current momentum in economic and tourism collaboration.
Farewell meetings
This farewell call is part of a series of meetings with senior UAE officials. Ambassador Tirmizi previously met Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, and Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority. Discussions during these meetings included legal cooperation and the expansion of flight operations between the two countries, viewed as an important driver of economic growth.

Ambassador Tirmizi will now move to Moscow, where he is designated as Pakistan’s new ambassador to Russia. He will succeed Khalid Jamali, bringing with him his earlier diplomatic experience in Central Asia and fluency in the Russian language.
